Getting to grips with a good book has had to take a bit of a back seat due to other demands. I think the only 'reading' I'm managing at the moment, is the odd flick through a magazine. My favourite at the moment for vintage style, is 'Vintage Life', and you're bound to find a copy on my bedside table!

A few little fancies in readiness for May Day Fayre...
Butterflies....♥♥♥
Now, on a completely different note, I'd like to share something with you. On Sunday we had the privilege to watch the Watoto children's choir perform. These children have been orphaned by war, disease and have endured much. However, they have been rescued and adopted by the Watoto organisation, and are given opportunities in life to grow and become the leaders that they want to be, working towards a better future for themselves and their country of Uganda. I'll tell you one thing, their experiences are heart breaking, but to see the smiles on their faces, knowing that they have been saved by the grace of God, leaves one feeling deeply touched, and puts life into perspective. We have so much to be grateful for! If you've been a reader of my blog for some time now, you will know that we had the honour and privilege to have some of the children stay with us last year whilst on their UK tour, and they crept deep into my heart! The joy that pour from their souls are tangible! This time round they are spending a week in our neck of the woods, and they leave on Sunday to perform for none other than Her Majesty, the Queen, in a set of Jubilee celebrations that will be taking place. Wow! Here are some pictures from Sunday...

Hello beautiful Tania! I always look forward to your lovely posts! It sounds like you have been very busy and productive! I look forward to hearing more about the May Day Fayre. I don't think mum's ever relax! I am glad you could enjoy the magazine though. It looks gorgeous and sounds wonderful! I will have to see if I can find one here. Your bedside table is so pretty and feminine, just my cup of tea! I love the hearts and butterflies you made. The fabrics are beautiful and your designs are so sweet! I love how you have them displayed too! You make everything so lovely! The Watoto is incredible and I enjoyed seeing the photos and learning about the children. I am saddened they have suffered so much, but I am thankful they have a better life now! God's grace is amazing and they are a beautiful testimony for Him! It is wonderful some of the children stayed with you before and that they will be singing for the Queen to celebrate the Jubilee. I am sure they are excited about that! You have been very busy...Just look at all those pretty butterflies...ready to fly off into the sunshine! Your red hearts bring a smile to my face...They are so cheery and bright!
Two summers ago, my husband and I had the joyful privilege of seeing these precious children perform. I will never forget them! Their sweet little faces were filled with such joy, energy and hope! I am so glad they have been taken away from the fear, death and tragedy in their villages. God has provided them with angels with big wings to hide them safely away from harm. How wonderful that they performed for the Queen...I pray that will help them in a mighty way.
